About the lo shu grid
The Lo Shu grid is a 3×3 magic square in which every row, column and diagonal adds to 15. Placing the digits of your date of birth into it shows at a glance which numbers appear often in your chart, which appear once, and which are absent altogether.
Missing numbers are usually read as areas that need conscious attention rather than as deficiencies, and repeated numbers as traits that are strongly emphasised, sometimes to excess. Your mulank and bhagyank are added to the grid as well, since both are considered active influences.
Zeros occupy no cell: the grid only holds 1 through 9, so a date with several zeros produces a sparser grid than one without.
